We decided on a Bronco. And boy am I excited!
I need to update these smilies…anyway, about the Bronco.
It’s the 1987 (yes, twenty years old). It has a new engine and new everything else but the body and transmission. It has a six-inch lift and a bunch of other crap. I don’t know much about cars, so trying to explain is dumb. It’s in really nice condition. When we got to the place to meet the owner, he had taken the top off. It had been recently waxed and was all shiny. It’s an Eddie Bauer edition and even though it’s pretty old, it’s worth the $6000 we’re paying for it. I’m really excited. The guy is fixing the crack in the windshield and getting it detailed and a tune-up and then we’ll get it hopefully by this weekend.
What else is new? Nothing really…I’m going back to church to finish my classes to get baptized and confirmed this Easter. Since I moved back home, Don and I stopped going to mass. I figure it’s easier to finish now since I only have a couple months left. At some point, Don and I are going to want to get married and I want to get married in the Church so I need to go through all my sacraments first. So that’s enough of that.
My bronco keeps distracting me.

P.S. I added a Tribute to Television. And thanks to Dorie and her comment, this layout is now compatible with IE!
Hooray!
I’m at school and we’re doing surveys and registering for the local community college. My high school doesn’t want to leave anybody out. And they’re making people like me, who’ve already been accepted into their universities, do this stuff, too. But it’s okay, I suppose. We have at least ten minutes left to play around online before we go to the next step. I finished my surveys almost an hour ago. I took the time to write a satirical paper for my English class. I wrote it about Nicole Ritchie and it’s pretty funny, I must say. Maybe I’ll post it up here later.
While at Stella’s site, I found a link to Becky and I must say, I like her site. So this is a reminder to me to go back and check it out more later. When I have my own computer and not a crappy Dell. Which reminds me, this site looks like crap in the old IE. Sorry to those of you who use it. My transparent PNGs don’t work and the sidebar is crooked. The colors also suck, but that’s this moniter. I tried fixing it, but when it looked good in IE, it looked like crap in Firefox and I don’t have access to IE anymore so I gave up. You can’t get IE for Macs now and I’m not about to install Windows on my beautiful machine. I don’t know if I’d be able to get the old IE anyway.
As for my Bronco, the one we were planning on getting isn’t going to work out. The guy has been postponing for two months now and wants the price to go up $500. No thank you. We need our car sometime next week and he STILL needs another two weeks. He also doesn’t call us back or tell us what’s going on with him. A month ago, hell, even last week, we were willing to go up another $500, but not now. He won’t tell us anything and we’re left just wondering so it makes me mad. We looked on Craig’s List though and found two more possibilities. Both are pretty nice. One for $5000 and one for around $6000. We’re going to go see them on Saturday.
I really hope it’s time to go soon. I’m running out of things to write and there’s only so many things I can do with admin blocks on everything. I couldn’t even vote for myself at The Rumbles because it was classified as “Gambling.” How lame.
I just typed the title for this post and my school is lame sometimes. But we got a new principal last year and since she’s been here, things have been a lot better. There’s construction on a new building that connects our very odd campus. We have like six different buildings and only two are connected to each other. This campus is horrible when it rains, but soon, it’ll be all fixed. Too bad I’m graduating when things are getting good. She’s also had many things that benefit the students and it seems like she really cares. Our old principal was a jerk and left in the middle of the year for a brand new school in San Antonio. He got a huge pay raise. Shows how much he cares about us. Didn’t even finish the year. It’s okay though, he was mean.
Yay! Time to go.

I joined The Rumbles in the team The Sundaes. I think it’ll be pretty fun. I haven’t joined stuff like this in five years. I remember when The Rumbles were the thing. I had forgotten all about it.
And I’m sick. Blah. So is my boyfriend. He’s going to the doctor today and I don’t know if I am or not. I still need to make the appointment.

I’m finally going to get my Bronco this weekend. Don and I found a really nice 1995 green Bronco that this guy is selling. That was the beginningish of January. The guy still owed an extra $1000 so we had to wait until he could pay it off, which is hopefully going to be this weekend. He said. I’m excited and very ready to get out of the stupid Suzuki I’ve been driving that’s a piece of shit. It needed two new tires, an alignment, new brakes and something in the muffler. Good thing I didn’t have to pay for it. That car needs a lot of maintenance.
Work sucks. I don’t like it and it’s crappy hours. Although it’s not as bad as it could be. They tried to schedule me to close everyday this week, but I told them when they hired me that I can’t work past seven. So they had to change this week’s schedule, which I’m very glad of. I don’t want to be working until 11:30 pm. That’s crazy.
I start my internship the weekend after next. I’m excited about that. It’s clerical work that pays $10/hour. I work two eight hour shifts, Saturday and Sunday mornings from 4:30 am to noon. The hours are kind of strange for the IRS, but it’s okay with me. At least it won’t take up my whole weekend. It’s only going to be for about 60 days, so that’s about 8 weekends. I should make about $1280 before taxes.
My photolog is coming along slowly. I’m addicted to that Lux risk game. I’m getting really good. At first I started on the easy level and was winning every time, then I moved to medium and now I’ve beaten the hard a few times. It’s exciting. The hard ones still kick my butt sometimes. Don hates it. He doesn’t like the strategic thinking games. He likes Pacman, which I like, too, but for me there’s only so many times I can eat dots.

I’m always looking for cool games to play because I take my computer to school with me and I can’t access the web there. So I found a whole bunch, among them Pacman and Risk. Well, the Risk game is called Lux. It’s pretty fun. I’ve been playing a lot today and won twice in a row. I start out in South America and work my way into Africa. Then into North America and Europe. Then into Asia. Asia sucks because it’s so hard to guard. South America has two entrances and gives more points than Australia. Wow - how sad is it that I’m blogging about this game?
My comments didn’t work for awhile and Dorie told me. I deleted my htaccess for some reason and the permalinks weren’t working. Oopsy. But it’s fixed. I also signed up for The Rumbles and I’m still waiting for my email from The Quilting Bee. I want to join fun stuff now that I’ve got my site back up. Which reminds me, I need to fix up The Star Jar. Maybe I’ll go do that now.
I’m still working on that photo gallery/blog/whatever thing. I haven’t decided which script I’m going to use. I really liked Pictorialis, but when I tried installing it, it wouldn’t work. It kept giving me a 500 Internal Server error. It hasn’t been updated for Wordpress 2.1 either. It’s still on whatever I was on a year ago. Dang. So I’m stuck between minimal Gallery and Simple Viewer. The second one is flash. How cool. I’m going to try both of them out and see which one I like better. So we’ll see.
