My Pets
I’ve had many pets since I’ve been around and here’s to them.
My current pet is a five month old beagle named Copper. He’s very energetic and spoiled rotten and we have an entire Flickr account dedicated to him. He’s also featured in this layout.
Toro aka Booger: He was my parents’ first child. When I was born, he was already a few years old, maybe five or so. When I was a baby, I played with him, rolled on him, yanked on him, and he just let me. Toro was the sweetest dog I’ve ever met. My parents got him sometime in the early 1980’s and he was the runt of a pitbull litter. He ended up weighing over fifty pounds. Some runt. We had to put Toro to sleep in 1996 and it was so sad. He was fourteen years old.
Max In December of 1995 we got another dog. This time a Jack Russell Terrier. That was my dad’s doing. I named him Max and he was my baby. He was crazy and incredibly smart. This dog was great. He wasn’t as sweet as Toro, but he was just as loyal. He took great care of me. When he was a puppy, he fell in the pool when it was freezing outside and hated the water because of it. And when he was about two, he fell out of the back of my aunt’s pickup truck and bumped his head. He spent about a month under my mom’s bed and was never the same. We think he got brain damage because he started having weird quirks like barking at the rain that he didn’t have before. And then he randomly stopped going out his doggy door. But he was a sweetheart and kept me on my toes.
Buddy My stepdad found two rottweiler puppies in July of 2005 while he was working. He took one home and one of his coworkers took the other one. We named him Buddy and he was really cute. He started growing and his ears stood up. It turns out he wasn’t a full rottweiler. He was a Blue Heeler mix and had the Heeler body, but Rott colors. My mom gave him away this past summer because he wasn’t getting the attention he needed from our busy family.
Fishy I bought this fish about two years ago and he’s a male beta. He just sits in a tank and we feed him and clean his tank. He just swims and swims. Fishy is pretty cool though. I named him when I first got him, but I don’t remember what it was. So now he’s Fishy.
