The past few weeks has been taken up with work and preparing for college. We’re moving in August, probably around the first. I’ve been looking at apartments and collecting furniture from relatives and friends. I think we’re actually going to have plenty of stuff. I really want a washer and dryer because Don and I have to do laundry twice a week because of his job. I’ve been looking on craiglist for some, maybe I’ll find a cheap one.
I also want to get an XBox 360. Not a priority at all, but still something fun for me and Don. My reasoning behind it is if we have internet, TV and a video game system, then we won’t need to go out and bother ourselves with spending more money to keep entertained. As it is, we go out a lot. We went bowling, to a movie and to dinner a bunch this week. Too much. So anyway, I’ve been looking for a good used core system or even a modded system for semi-cheap on craigslist and ebay. I don’t want to buy a new one, but if I do, I’ll just get the core system and mod it myself. I’d want to add a huge hard drive to store games and movies on.
Which brings me to my ultimate entertainment system that I’ve been planning. I want to *eventually* have a full entertainment system run off a Mac. A huge hard drive, I’m talking terabytes huge, that I burn all our movies to and TV shows of course. With a fabulous TiVo or DVR system hooked up to a monster high definition plasma TV or something. Man, that would be awesome…A girl can dream.

I graduated last Friday night. Had dinner with my family and dinner with Don’s. I’m glad to finally be done with high school. But I am a little scared about college. Being on my own does seem appetizing, but it’s also intimidating. I’m pretty confident that Don and I will be fine. Or we’ll get through it at least.
We went to an exotic zoo yesterday. Rode around in a wagon thing and animals could come up and we’d feed them. There were bison, ostriches, emus, ria birds, some other animals and millions of deer. They had whitetails, red deer and fallow deer. There was also a petting zoo which had goats and deer. We went in there and the deer surrounded us. It was pretty fun. I’ve got pictures since I have a new digital camera. I’ll post them up here when I get around to it.

I’m at work. Internet tech support kind of sucks. I talk to morons all day. If they were smart, they wouldn’t need my help. Actually, some people aren’t so bad. Most people aren’t that bad. Just some of them make me insane. And the ISP I’m doing support for is not the best. It’s DSL and a lot of people aren’t happy. But then again, they’re calling because something’s not working so why should they be happy…
I still have no inspiration for anything. I want a new layout for this site, but I don’t know what to do. I don’t even know where to start. I am in the middle of a new layout for my stepdad’s taxidermy site. So far I’ve got a hunter with a gun aimed at a deer. But I haven’t had time to finish it.
My time has been taken up by work. This week I’ve worked 35 hours so far. If I’m not at work or school, I’m watching movies. I love Netflix. We get 5 movies at a time for $30 a month. It’s pretty great.

If you think your website is amazing, you should join a community for other designers like yourself. Plus, if I refer enough people, I’ll get $10. It won’t hurt, right?

Don’s ankles have been hurting him for about three months now. We originally thought it was his boots that he has to wear to work. The other day he finally went to the doctor and apparently two bones in each foot are semi-fused together and when he dropped a deer blind on his feet back in January, it caused inflammation. So he got a steroid shot in his left one and he’s getting one in his right on Wednesday. This semi-fused bone thing is more common than you’d think. The doctor told us that a lot of people have it and never know. Most people don’t drop five hundred pound deer blinds on their feet either.
I’m starting my new job today. It’s tech support for an ISP. I’m excited. Finally a job with computers.
Training is all this week, from five to ten. We get to pick our schedules so I can work as much or as little as I want. I don’t have to put in notice two weeks in advance just to find out the time I needed off wasn’t given to me (like my dad’s wedding, something important that I had to go to, not the dodgeball tournament that half the store took off for).
