All about tehsheriff.org
Where did you get “tehsheriff?” On the first day of my freshman year of high school, I decided to wear a fake sheriff badge. I found it at HEB or something so I bought it. I wore it to school one day and this guy decided to call me Sheriff and the nickname stuck. So at the end of 2004 sometime, I created a livejournal account teh_sheriff. I don’t know if I made it before or after my personal domain, crystallia.net had expired, which I wanted to renew, but I couldn’t because I had bought it from a friend and Netrillium wasn’t cooperating. So it expired. I was in need of a new domain, but couldn’t think what to call it. Some how I decided on tehsheriff.org. And here we are.
The Domain and whatnot
The domain was originally purchased under through Netrillium and was bought for me by bonza in exchange for DMB bucks. When I first bought this domain, I was hosted for free because the loverly Cadwyn had me on her xFluro reseller. Then she gave it up after awhile and Nagaki graciously continued hosting me for free. I created Webands sometime and it started eating up a lot of bandwidth. And I mean a lot. Amy offered to give me free hosting with E-Starr at the end of June 2005. So that’s where I’ve been ever since and might I say, they are the best host I’ve ever had. My very first domain was hosted with them and I have never been let down.
I thought about giving up this domain when I created my new website That College Kid, but it ended up not being a personal blog so I’m keeping this one. Here’s a post that explains a little more about why I saved this domain.
